  This photo was taken in 1938 and is an aerial view showing the town of New London in the background behind the elementary school building. In front of the elementary school is the cleared area where the high school stood. (The new one had not yet been built.) In the middle of the photo is a Humble service station. The building next to it is the current location of the London Museum.
